It is quite a sight to watch people from all walks (literally!) crowding around a stall with nearly a dozen people behind the counter cooking and serving. The food is good and consistent but not extraordinary as compared to the towering standards set by other legendary eateries in the vicinity.
The place is really good and serves the real authentic south Indian cuisine. They serve all the variety of fusion dosas from Indian to Chinese. The best part is the chutney sambhar which is unlimited.
Prices are more than reasonable. Dosa's are very good but not the best. Having food here since many years.
Just like the tons of other good south Indian places in Matunga, Ayyappan Idli store serves good dosas.
Amazing place to have authentic South Indian food.
They have a long list of varieties of Dosas and Uttappam. A must visit for each and everyone. Their food is good, quality is good, only thing is that you have to stand and eat as it's not a restaurant but that is okay for a fast food anyway to will enjoy eating here.
